Liability for our own content
As a service provider we are responsible for our own content on these pages under general law pursuant to § 7(1) TMG (German Telemedia Act). However, pursuant to §§ 8 to 10 TMG we are not obliged as a service provider to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances that indicate unlawful activity.
Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected. Any liability in this respect is only possible from the point in time at which a specific infringement becomes known. Upon becoming aware of such infringements, we will remove the relevant content immediately.
Not a substitute for a veterinarian
EquusCare is a reference work, not veterinary advice. The descriptions of illnesses, symptoms, first measures and emergencies serve the general information of the horse owner. They replace neither examination nor diagnosis nor treatment by a veterinarian, and they do not create a treatment relationship.
Every horse is an individual case: breed, age, existing conditions, medication and the course of an illness cannot be judged from a text. If you suspect an emergency, if the condition worsens, or if you are unsure, contact a veterinarian or an emergency veterinary practice immediately: not this app. Nothing in EquusCare is ever a reason to delay veterinary help.
The content is written and maintained to the best of our knowledge. We give no warranty as to its accuracy, completeness or currency; veterinary medicine advances, and individual statements may be out of date. For damage arising from applying or not applying the measures described here, we are liable only as set out in the liability rules of our Terms.
Statements on dosage, feeding or home remedies are points of reference, not instructions. Medication belongs in the hands of a veterinarian: including over-the-counter products; some things that help humans are toxic to horses.
Content created by users
Bookmarks, notes and the details a user records about their horse are created solely by the users themselves. These are third-party information within the meaning of sections 8 to 10 of the German Telemedia Act; we do not review them, nor could this reasonably be expected of us. If we become aware of a specific infringement, we will remove the content in question without delay and block the account where necessary.

This website and the app contain occasional references to external third-party websites, for example to professional bodies, associations or emergency services. We have no influence over their content and can give no warranty for it. Responsibility always lies with the respective provider or operator of the linked pages.
